FAQ: Cirrus® ATM Network

Q: Do I have to pay an extra fee for using a Cirrus® ATM Network machine?
A: Community Bank of San Joaquin does not charge its accountholders for using ATMs operated by other institutions. However, service fees may be assessed by the ATM's operator.

Q: How can I avoid or minimize service fees charged by other institutions when accessing my account through an ATM not operated by Community Bank of San Joaquin?
A: You may avoid or minimize network transaction fees if:
1) you are able to locate a Cirrus
® Network ATM that is operated by an institution that does not charge for the use of their ATMs, or
2) if your ATM Card is linked to a checking account, you may access funds from this account by requesting cash back when making a purchase from a
NYCE merchant. Some merchants waive the service charge for this convenience, others have a nominal fee that is usually less than a network ATM fee.

Q: I just made a deposit to my account. When I try to withdraw cash using my ATM Card, I get a message that funds are not available. Why?
A: Funds deposited through an ATM or inside a branch may be subject to holds for verification or collection of funds. The amount available for withdrawal at an ATM will not exceed the funds available prior to the deposit. Please refer to your copy of Agreement & Disclosure provided to you when your account was established.

Q: I am traveling out of Community Bank of San Joaquin's service area. Where can I use my ATM Card?
A: Any of over 900,000 Cirrus® ATM Network machine in over 120 countries worldwide. Click here to find locations in the area you are traveling.

NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY FDIC
INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS

All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.

The  term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts ("IOLTAs"). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts and money-market deposit accounts.

For more information about temporary FDIC insurance coverage of transaction accounts, visit www.fdic.gov.
